I just learned a little bit of information and wanted to pass it on…….
In Case of Emergency cell phone users can place the “ICE” (In Case of Emergency ) prefix acronym in front of the name of the people they want to designate as next of kin in there cell phone address book creating enteries like ICE–Mom, ICE–Dad, ICE–John, etc…. many Paramedics, police and firefighters are trained to look for this acronym in a cell phone.
Please also note, by using this acronym, the next of kin or the address or phone number could be accessed by someone other than a member of the emergency service thus creating a privacy concern.
